Havre de Grace Main Street, Inc., will be conducting its seventh annual series of Haunted History and Ghost Tours through the historic downtown district beginning September 2012.
A significant factor in Havre de Grace tours is that the history and murder stories are TRUE stories documented either by newspaper or local historians. And the ghost stories are first-hand accounts told to Main Street from the people who experienced them.
The guided walking tours will be conducted on Friday and Saturday evenings in September and October 2012. The tours are scheduled for 7 pm and 8:30 pm and last about 1½ hours and begin at Jana's Java, 217 N. Washington Street. Private tours can be scheduled for groups of at least 10 or more throughout the year by calling 410-939-1811 or 410-939-6292. One week's notice is required to schedule the tour. At each point of interest or historic house, the guide will stop and tell a related story of hauntings or bazaar occurrences which happened on that property either in the past or is still happening today.
Please note that the tours may not be appropriate for children of 8 years and younger.
Tickets are $12 each plus a small service for online purchase. $10 each for groups of 10 or more.

Beginning in the Spring of 2012, tours will be offered on Saturdays: 10 am or 2 pm and on Sundays at 2 pm. Group tours of five or more can be scheduled by appointment with 3 days notice by calling Mitch at 443-686-1648. Find out the significant history that was made in Havre de Grace. Tours begin at Jana's Java, 217 N. Washington Street and are conducted by costumed, professional guides and last for 1 1/2 hours.
