Welcome to Havre de Grace Main Street!

The Havre de Grace Main Street program is one of a network of statewide, citywide, and countywide Main Street programs, with more than 2,100 active Main Street programs nationally.

All have been chartered by the National Trust for Historic Preservation over the past several years to revitalize their downtown business districts and preserve their historic character.

Cumulatively, the districts taking part in the program have generated more than $45 billion in new investment, with a gain of more than 370,000 new jobs. Every $1 a community uses to support its local Main Street program leverages an average of $40.35 in new investment, making the Main Street program one of the most successful economic development strategies in America.

The Main Street District encompasses the downtown area delineated on the north by the railroad bridge at 500 Union Avenue, on the east by St. John Street and Market Street, on the south by Girard Street, and on the west by Freedom Lane.
